Are you turning your potential clients off with the wrong type of post?

Social media, like anything in life, is infinitely better when you keep it simple. 

I am on social media quite frequently – partly for work, partly for fun.

There are some businesses I see that post ALL the time – which can be just fine, if you’re posting the right thing.

However, there are two things I find that businesses do that work against them.

Do too much promotion. 

Yes, it’s important to promote your business – but when every single post is promotional, it gets old for your readers.

Too little promotion

Alternately, I see some businesses post NOTHING about their business at all. For example, there is a real estate agent I follow – and they never really post links to their listings.

I don’t know about you, but for me, the reason to follow a real estate agent is to see what’s on the market. Though I don’t mind reading about other things, I’m following them for house listings – because they are a real estate agent!

However, it doesn’t have to be this way. You CAN have a balance between promotional, informational, inspirational and personal posts.
